Established by Rob Schwager, Tiny Bird Press is a small, one-man print shop. It's where I create limited edition, hand-printed serigraphs (screen printed art).
I used to screen print my own poster and flyer designs for various punk rock shows and concerts back in the 90's while living in Chicago. I missed the hand-made, DIY process of creating those prints. So, I decided to re-visit those days by starting Tiny Bird Press.
All the artwork for my prints is created in the traditional manner using pencils, paper, erasers, etc… as well as the occasional computer. Then, each print is hand-pulled by myself, which helps to ensure the highest possible quality in my art.

MADE IN THE U.S.A.
I created and donated this print to be used as a fund raiser to benefit the renovation of the Capitol Theatre in Clearwater, FL. Built in 1921, the Capitol is one of Florida’s oldest operating theaters.
There were 100 pieces printed. Out of those 100, I was given 25 “artist copies” for me to sell to recoup my printing and production costs. The Capitol Theatre will receive 75 prints in all.
The first 25 people to arrive this Sunday at the screening of the 1985 classic, The Goonies, will receive a free copy of my Never Say Die! print. The remaining 50 are to be sold by the Capitol Theatre to raise funds to help with the renovation.
My 25 artist copies will be put up for sale soon at the tinybirdpress webstore.
Notes:
- Hand-pulled screen print
- 18″ x 24″ on 100lb tea-stained paper
- Printed with water based non-toxic inks
- Signed and numbered, limited edition of 100
- Each print was hand-embellished. Because they are stained by hand, each one is totally unique
If you’re in the Tampa Bay area, swing by the theatre this Sunday.
